No special chemicals or noxious scents. Simply the mild dish soap you use everyday in your kitchen. We use a “Green” removal method.

Are harsh chemicals used? 2019-08-06T14:03:57+00:00

No special chemicals or noxious scents. We use a ‘surfactant’ similar in principle to the mild dish soap you use everyday in your kitchen. We use a “Green” removal method.

How did you get started doing this type of work? 2019-08-22T20:18:49+00:00

As a 1979 Graduate of U.S. School of Professional Paperhanging, I enjoyed wallpapering until after a serious fall in Palm Springs, CA, forced a temporary retirement.

After working in an office management environment I grew restless for a more active lifestyle and developed a career in wallpaper removal. At that time, a full-time wallpaper removal business was totally unheard of. Nevertheless, I grew my business into a thriving enterprise and am pleased to be of service to my many clients.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? 2019-08-06T14:44:09+00:00

My advice is: you get what you pay for. Contractors are NOT ‘interchangeable’.

From my experience, we provide an enviable level of service that is unmatched by many other contractors in this field. Indeed, wallpaper removal is most often an ‘occasional’ service for most contractors. We do this every day –for over 14 years.

How long will it take? 2019-08-06T14:11:25+00:00

This all depends on the paper and wall conditions. Luckily for the do-it-yourselfer, you can break it up into smaller sections and complete it a manageable time frame. (Such as when the kids are napping!!)

How long will it take? 2019-08-06T14:06:58+00:00
This all depends on the paper and wall conditions. We will access the situation and make a bid to complete your job in a reasonable time frame. We always give an *estimated time-period for completion.
*We have been historically accurate to a high degree regarding timing of jobs. Yet, due to the fact that many wall conditions are actually ‘hidden’ from us until after we have begun the job, there is the occasional difference between reality and expectations.
I do honor my original bid (other than in cases of simple oversight or math errors). There have, however, been times when clients recognized when we were working at a loss and then kindly offered to defray a part of that loss.
What is your typical process of working with a new customer? 2019-08-06T14:46:33+00:00

Typically, I must visit the job location and do an estimate which includes judging the wallcovering substrate, the wall surfaces, the pastes used, the engineering set-up required (flooring types, wall heights, ladder types and placement, etc.).

Is all wallpaper removal the same? 2019-08-06T14:11:32+00:00

YouTube videos would like you to think so!! The answer is NO… Every wallpaper removal first starts with assessing the paper, paste and wall surface, which are all unique.

Is all wallpaper removal the same? 2019-08-06T14:07:48+00:00

YouTube videos would like you to think so!! The answer is NO… Every wallpaper removal first starts with assessing the paper, paste and wall surface, which are all unique. Then knowledge and learned skills-of-the-trade come into play combined with physical endurance and genuine goodwill toward our client’s interests to yield the best wallpaper removal possible in a given situation. Some small percentage of wallpaper removal end ingloriously –– but not for want of trying or lack of skills. Sometimes there are pre-existing conditions such as paint-failure of the original paint that may lead to the necessity of having another contractor re-finish the walls prior to painting.
